Kyle Cochrun won the men s 4-mile in a time of 20:18 while Natalie Zidd paced the women's squad in 15th place.

The women's race will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the men's race set for a 6:15 start. Fans are encouraged to attend the event, flash the "Z" sign (pictured) and receive one of 100 Akrun Z Country t-shirts.

Individually and collectively, the 2013-14 academic year was among the best ever for our student-athletes at The University of Akron.

Competing in seven MAC-sponsored men s sports, the Zips needed performances from just five to lock up the award, with baseball and men's outdoor track and field still competing.

The Zips harriers recorded a perfect score of 1,000 during the academic years of 2009-10 through 2012-13.
