The University of Akron men's track and field team continued to reap the rewards for its record-breaking campaign as sophomore Clayton Murphy (New Paris, Ohio) and head track and field coach Dennis Mitchell were recognized by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as recipients of the Great Lakes Regional Track Athlete of the Year and Coach of the Year accolades, respectively.
